“Psychological Operations or PSYOP are planned operations to convey selected information and indicators to audiences to influence their emotions, motives, objective reasoning, and ultimately the behavior of organizations, groups, and individuals. Used in all aspects of war, it is a weapon whose effectiveness is limited only by the ingenuity of the commander using it.” ~Major Ed Rouse (Ret), Psychological Operations/Warfare

Nearly a decade ago, I was cursed/blessed to have a boss who was retired military. She’d been active duty during the Iraq war, serving stateside in psychological operations, that she referred to as PSYOPS, also known as Psych Warfare.  I loved my job very much and worked diligently to overcome the twisted obstacle that my boss soon became. During the 16 months that I suffered through this ordeal, I felt as though I’d received covert training in counter strategies for blocking the intended harm an evil boss was trying to inflict on all of us under her lead, but me in particular. It became a sick, live chess game. The knowledge I acquired during this grueling period, proved very valuable and useful in all the days that have followed. (I did waltz out the door one bright day, after eventually figuring out that it was time to graduate from my PSYOPS schooling.)

It dawned on me a few months ago, that so many of our current President’s tactics are exactly the same as my previous boss’s, almost to the point of being freaky. I pondered this for awhile, wondering if it was because they have similar personalities perhaps… but no, that’s not it. And then a few weeks ago while I was running after work, the connection between the two suddenly popped into my mind: Psych Warfare. Ah-huh! When I held up the PSYOPS profile alongside Donald Trump, the lightbulb went off.

That’s it exactly!

So now, as we step intently toward our nation’s future on November 6, 2018, we must have a strong grasp of the looming obstacle that will hold us back, possibly even halt our nation’s progress, if we’re not alert and careful. The most significant threat to our country’s well-being is our president’s Psychological Warfare tactics seemingly being used to upend our democracy and Constitution.

If you Google Psych Warfare and PSYOPS and brush up on all the strategies and specifics, it becomes much more clear what counter moves are most effective in combatting this type of twisted aggression.

Good Luck. We can do this!

United States of America INC | Perspective

perspective

There have been 241 successful years that have passed since the signing of the Declaration of Independence and the launching of our democratic “experiment.” It now seems unfathomable to witness the dire circumstances Trump’s new mission statement has inflicted on modern society. Trump’s agenda is the polar opposite of the mission outlined by the author of the Declaration of Independence, and other founding fathers.

DONALD TRUMP: “I have made the tough decisions, always with an eye on the bottomline. Perhaps it’s time to run America like a business.”

So what “bottom line” is Trump referring to?

“Capitalism in its purest form is a society in which the market sets prices for the sole purpose of profits and any inefficiency or intervention that reduces profit making will be eliminated by the market.” ~Investopedia, definition of the Bottom Line

The Trump and GOP agenda is now clearly defined. This definition is the missing puzzle piece which should help us understand the GOP vision when we head to the voting booths on November 6, 2018. It appears that saving American lives in Puerto Rico, funding health programs for impoverished children, meals-on-wheels, cutting protective regulations, and a whole long lengthy list of life-saving initiatives were eliminated because they “reduce profit making.”

What are the key characteristics of capitalism:

  • TWO-CLASS SYSTEM: (1) capitalist class, owns the means of producing and distributing goods and services; (2) working class, works for producers and distributors for earned wages. There’s also a “division of labor” made possible by specialization as a result of education and training.
  • PROFIT MOTIVE: “Companies exist to make a profit.  The motive for all companies is to make and sell goods and services only for profits.  Companies do not exist solely to satisfy people’s needs. Even though some goods or services may satisfy needs, they will only be available if the people have the resources to pay for them.” ~Investopedia
  • MINIMAL GOVERNMENT INTERVENTION: “Capitalist societies believe markets should be left alone to operate without government intervention. However, a completely government-free capitalist society exists in theory, only. ” ~Investopedia (Trump doesn’t believe government-free capitalist society exists in theory only; he’s determined that America can be regulation free for the benefit of the 1%.)
  • COMPETITION: Must be a competitive market so monopolies don’t form. Markets set prices, not sellers (monopolies). If sellers set prices it’s no longer capitalism.
  • WILLINGNESS TO CHANGE: Adaptation is a critically important feature of capitalism. (For some reason Trump ignores this characteristic and doesn’t mind cutting profits to protect antiquated energy sources like coal.)

Understanding these chief characteristics of capitalism should make clear what Trump is using as his rudder to steer America. And it seems that the reason why so many Republicans are willing to hold a blind eye to Trump’s dangerous flaws is that his danger pales in comparison to these capitalistic principles that are engrained in their way of thinking, after all capitalism is America’s economic system.

However, our federal government is not a business and should not be run following the principles of capitalism. This is a ridiculously hairbrained scheme.

THOMAS JEFFERSON: “The care of human life and happiness, and not their destruction, is the first and only object of good government.”

JAMES MADISON: “We are free today substantially, but the day will come when our Republic will be an impossibility. It will be an impossibility because wealth will be concentrated in the hands of a few. A Republic cannot stand upon bayonets, and when the day comes when the wealth of the nation will be in the hands of a few, then we must rely upon the wisdom of the best elements in the country to readjust the laws of the nation to the changed conditions.”

The United States of America has always taken the moral high-ground which has resulted in more than 200 years of global superiority. Trump’s vision to run America like a capitalistic business, has dramatically denigrated our standing in the world, and with the ballooning deficit…has undermined our financial strength. Further, Trump has taken the moral low ground, creating a tidal wave of enemies around the globe who now have America marked as their number one target.

Further, Trump has declared bankruptcy six times and appears to have America on the same trajectory. There’s no time to be celebrating. We have to take a long term perspective and rush to reinforce our nation’s initial core operating principle: “…the care of human life and happiness, and not their destruction…”

Of Course Trump Knew! Bank On It | Perspective

perspective

On May 8, 2018 , stunning news broke of Michael Cohen’s shell company Essential Consultants LLC receiving millions of dollars from major US Companies, along with Russian Oligarch Viktor Vekselberg. It was apparently from these millions that Stormy Daniel’s $130,000 hush payment was made, just before the 2016 election.

In the eleven days that have followed, numerous outlets have traced the money and learned that Cohen reached out to major US companies, suggesting it would be very wise for them to drop their current consultants and replace with Essential Consultants. Cohen convinced many corporate contacts that he had the closest ties to President Trump.

Now the big question everyone is asking is whether Trump knew about Cohen’s solicitations and receipt of the millions, particularly Russian Oligarch Vekselberg, who’s on the US sanctions list. Cohen claims “No.” Giuliani asserts “No.” Trump emphatically states “No, I knew nothing.”

Mueller’s investigators are certainly way out in front on this; they’ve likely been tracing the money for six months, and must have an abundance of documentation that when lined up, can divulge answers.

When Mueller’s investigators kicked off this phase of their investigation though, they had to begin with a reasonable hypothesis, which is preceded by a pointed question: Did Trump know what Michael Cohen was doing? (Simple YES or NO; I say YES). Better yet, was Trump the one who suggested Cohen set-up Essential Consultants LLC to raise easy money that would keep Trump financed/protected from all the people he’d wronged? (Simple YES or NO; I say YES).

My certainty that Trump knew is based on the pre-release leaked excerpts of James Comey’s book, A Higher Loyalty.

“Flashbacks to my earlier career as a prosecutor against the Mob. The silent circle of assent. The boss in complete control. The loyalty oaths. The us-versus-them worldview. The lying about all things, large and small, in service to some code of loyalty that put the organization above morality and above the truth.” ~ James Comey, ‘A Higher Loyalty’

I believe the pre-release excerpts of Comey’s A Higher Loyalty are the equivalent of bolding and underlining the most significant passages in the book, indicating that Trump uses similar techniques, and has similar behaviors, as a Mob Boss.

Can anyone picture a Mob Boss not knowing what his underlings were doing, especially when it’s a matter of hustling for staggering sums of cash all because of a close personal connection to the Mob Boss? Seems pretty clear that if the “Head of the Family” wasn’t aware, and then found out after the fact, the hustler would be annihilated.

Ergo, Trump knew. Investigators can bank on it. And when they do, they’ll most assuredly find a rich trail of proof.

Net Neutrality, It’s Life or Death | Perspective

perspective

Short memories are extremely dangerous.

The success of modern American life is based on having our free and open internet, which Obama’s FCC protected through net neutrality. We take our blessings for granted.

Supersonic speeds that connects us to the internet – any site, anywhere (with the exception of rural dead zones). Don’t you remember life before this life-changing luxury? It was such a short time ago.

Dial-up internet connection that took forever. How about 2G service? Even 3G connection was a nightmare. Life before 4G smartphones. Ugh!

When we’re traveling through rural areas with no bars, we get a dreadful reminder.

Read a few articles about what it’s like living in North Korea, Iran, Egypt, China without free and open internet and you’ll begin to really appreciate this game-changing advantage.

It’s incomprehensible that Trump and FCC Chairman Pai want to impede American innovation, restrain American business and inflict torture on our day-to-day existence  by rolling back net neutrality. Why would any American want this? There are NO ADVANTAGES to consumers in blocking our free and open internet.

We’ve felt the negative impact before.

Do you remember when the iPhone was 3G, and many of us had unlimited data plans through AT&T, and we were throttled after AT&T upgraded to 4G. It was shocking to experience a dramatic slowdown connecting to the internet once we exceeded 2 GBs. Yes, with no regulations in place, AT&T throttled consumers with unlimited data plans after we exceeded 2 GB once we upgraded to 4G phones. If we didn’t want to be throttled, we could get off the unlimited plans and pay for higher usage. (Man Sues AT&T For Throttling His iPhone Service – And Wins! ) After this consumer won his lawsuit, AT&T threatened to shut off his service.

Exactly three years later, February 26, 2015, under Obama the FCC “voted in favor of strong net neutrality rules to keep the internet open and free.” It was because of aggressive negative actions like AT&T’s, and consumer/provider battles that spanned several years, that the FCC took a stand to protect American consumers and small businesses. Corporations have proven themselves over and over agin to care only about the bottomline, harming the public without remorse.

And how about a similar hostile act just a few months ago, with Apple slowing down connection to the internet for older devices in the hopes we’d buy new ones. This was accomplished by imbedding a “fix” in one of the regular software updates. Another dot that proves how even the richest company on earth, more cash than any country, how even Apple in the extreme black will strategically throw consumers into the red without blinking an eye.

Greed is bewildering.

Trump and Chairman Pai’s malicious move to rollback consumer protections so that corporations can increase profits, and consumers can pay more or be harmed, is a personal assault on the American public. With 5G service deploying in the very near future, June 12, 2018 perhaps (?), just a guess. They’re keeping it a secret for some reason. But net neutrality is scheduled to end at 11:59p on June 11, 2018, so I can’t help but wonder if 5G begins at 8:00a on June 12, 2018.

The internet needs to remain free and open like the majority of our interstate highways. Who wants to pay a toll? It’s crazy that anti-tax Republicans would be pro-net neutrality rollback. This alarming plan of FCC Chairman Pai’s will result in the following:

  • Access to the internet can be blocked, or severely slowed, by providers – AT&T customers in 2012 can speak to this
  • Affordability – throwback to 2012 again when AT&T throttled customers to get them to pay more for data plans
  •  Being blocked from certain sites – AT&T owns direct TV and is not happy with consumers cancelling TV service because we’d prefer to watch Netflix, so they’ll likely block us from using Netflix unless we sign-up for direct TV

The GOP just gave corporations a HUGE tax cut. American corporations have never had it so good. The vast majority of corporation are not passing their windfall onto employees in the form of higher wages, nor are they discounting prices for consumers. They are buying back their stock en masse, and some are even stooping to pay Michael Cohen’s Essential Consultants LLC millions of dollars for easy access to President Trump.

Democratic Senators Mackey & Schumer are in the process of trying to reverse the rollback. Again, they have until June 11th, 2018 at 11:59p. It’s imperative that every American call our Senators and demand that the rollback be reversed and the internet remain free and open to the American public.

This is a life-as-we-know-it threatening situation.

Is Trump Plotting Blue Wave Upset By Lobbying For Nobel Prize? | Perspective

perspective

The Greatest Con Man on earth is the master of smoke and mirrors. He invented some of the most bewildering tricks in the book. The Art of the Deal outlines a whole series of Trump’s trademark schemes that stun and amaze. Making a $150 million net worth  appear to be $5 billion. Disappearing tax returns so roving eyes can’t question Trump’s financial connections to Russian oligarchs.

On Tuesday May 8, 2018, as voters headed to the polls in three states to cast ballots in the primary election, Paul Ryan made a panicked announcement from the mountain top, warning that if the GOP loses the House on November 6, 2018, the Democrats will come in and remove Trump from office.

Exactly!

Trump is in panic mode. He’s combing through his massive collection of effective stunts, that have worked wonders for five decades, and is fine-tuning his timeline to November 6th.

It appears Trump’s been laying the groundwork for what he hopes will be the Nobel Peace Prize, to be announced in October 2018, just prior to the midterm elections. He envisions (and thus plots) that winning the Nobel Peace Prize a few weeks before election day will upset the BLUE WAVE that is projected to sweep the GOP majority out of Congress, and Trump fears…. land him in jail.

The Greatest Con Man on earth isn’t going to let that happen. He has to plot BIG! His grandiose solution is to win the Nobel Peace prize.

The first few steps of Trump’s timeline are already underway:

  • January 11 , 2018, trump stated, “The United States needs more immigrants from Norway, not s**thole countries like Haiti.” The Nobel Office is in Oslo, Noway. Trump is trying to butter up to Norway the day after he met with Norway’s Prime Minister in Washington.
  • North Korea and Russia are allies. The only person more afraid of the Blue Wave than Trump… is Putin. Putin knows how to “inspire” an evil ally like Kim Jong-Un into playing along with this charade for a good cause, that of maintaining Putin’s iron grip on America.
  • Putin, Trump and Kim Jong-Un will win an Academy Award for this blockbuster performance that will take place in Singapore in June. Stay tuned…

Meanwhile, the one most deserving of the Nobel Peace Prize in 2018 is France’s Prime Minister Emmanuel Macron. He’s been a noble and heroic leader, working round the clock with all the US allies to maintain stability in the world while Trump is in overdrive maliciously working to destabilize the globe.

Kim Jong-Un earns an Academy Award | Perspective

“The art of war is deception. Mystify, mislead, and surprise the enemy.” ~ Sun Tzu, The Art of War

Donald Trump is demanding a Nobel Peace Prize for bringing Kim Jong-Un to the table. Meanwhile, Kim Jong-Un is likely snickering behind the scenes, demanding an Academy Award for duping Trump with his new peace-loving “television persona” playing to Trump’s confirmation biases.

Kim Jong-Un versus Donald Trump is a classic psych game. And the world is caught in the middle.

Trump revealed his weakness yesterday April 30, 2018, which is a frightening turn of events for the United States. Trump wants the Nobel Peace Prize (imagine…Mr. Divisive/Mr. White Nationalist/Mr. Neo-Nazi/Mr. KKK, the Nobel Peace Prize?). It seems probable that Kim Jong-Un will keep playing to this weakness, keep seducing Trump into believing that Kim Jong-Un is a changed man, that he finally sees the light, and is 100% on board with giving up on nuclear weapons.

High-Five!

After seven decades, Kim Jong-Un is willing to turn over a new leaf for North Korea. A fresh, clean start for this brutal dictatorship. All because of Trump’s altruism and benevolence. It only took 3 months.

Trump is a huge fan of the classic television image… Kim Jong-Un sitting at the table with South Korea, handing over his Big Red Nuke Button. Trump’s drooling… buying this hook, line, and sinker. Envisioning that in early October, a few weeks before the Blue Wave mid-term elections that’ll wipe out the House & Senate GOP majorities, Trump will sweep in with his Nobel Peace Prize and save the day, bringing the Republican Party back to life.

North Korean Intelligence has clearly been reading up on Sun Tzu and the Art of War. This plot of theirs is actually brilliant. Kudoes!

Or is it actually Russia’s plot? Aren’t Russia and North Korea allies? How bad will Russia feel the pain of a Blue Wave? I feel certain the KGB is aggressively thinking of Plan B & C for keeping Trump and the GOP in power and blocking the Blue Wave. Any means necessary. Ultra creative deception plot that might earn Trump the Nobel Peace Prize.

Donald Trump needs a straight jacket and a muzzle. Why are we the ones who always have to suffer the consequences of Trump’s many weaknesses.

Giuliani’s Big Reveal | Perspective

perspective

“…what concerned me most about the small lie was the danger of it becoming a habit. I’ve seen many times over the years how liars get so good at lying, they lose the ability to distinguish between what’s true and what’s not. They surround themselves with other liars. The circle becomes closer and smaller, with those unwilling to surrender their moral compasses pushed out and those willing to tolerate deceit brought closer to the center of power. Perks and access are given to those willing to lie and tolerate lies. This creates a culture, which becomes an entire way of life. The easy, casual lies – those are a very dangerous thing. They open up the path to the bigger lies, in more important places, where the consequences aren’t so harmless.” ~ James Comey, A Higher Loyalty

Rudy Giuliani stepping in to become a key player for Trump, when Trump’s the most desperate he’s ever been in his life, this because the vast majority of his inner circle have either fled or been removed, compels the public to draw some conclusions.

First, based on Comey’s insights above, and Giuliani’s actions the past two weeks, it’s clear that Giuliani has been accepted into Trump’s tight inner circle, implying that Giuliani is “willing to surrender his moral compass…and tolerate deceit.”

Second, after reading Rudy Giuliani’s statement on Wednesday April 25, 2018 that Mueller won’t find a “stitch of evidence” that Trump colluded with Russia, we’re left to interpret what Giuliani means by this (in light of the fact that there have been so many collusion dots already divulged to the public, that when connected, clearly indicate large swaths of collusion smoke, beneath which is seemingly an extensive collusion fire). Additionally, there are sealed indictments, guilty pleas, cooperating witnesses. So for Giuliani to state unequivocally that there’s not a “stitch of evidence” that Trump colluded, when we already see a wide trail of collusion by the Trump Campaign, we’re left to interpret Giuliani’s claim:

  • Giuliani is lying (which is entirely possible based on Comey’s insights)
  • The collusion was carried out by the Trump Campaign and close Trump allies, rather than Trump himself, so no Trump finger prints on the evidence; perhaps the game plan was that Trump would pardon everyone so no worries about all the crimes they’d have to commit, the “perks and access” would be worth it, and they wouldn’t do any jail time because of his pardon power
  • the word “stitch” means something to Giuliani; hmm… can we interpret it to mean that there’s not an inch of evidence, but rather 100 miles of evidence? I can picture a former prosecutor differentiating the amount of evidence in this way, so then sure, Giuliani would be telling the truth

Or perhaps Giuliani’s raging assertion that there’s not a “stitch of evidence” of Russia collusion and therefore Mueller’s investigation is a “disgrace,” is merely an attempt to hide Giuliano’s own ties to Russia collusion. After all, according to Grant Stern, a Miami columnist and radio broadcaster, Giuliani is closely associated with Sergey Lavrov, and “the Giuliani/Lavrov relationship represents the highest level link between Trump Campaign’s top surrogate and Russian President Vladimir Putin.” Giuliani is the top surrogate.

Based on this reality, we’re left to interpret that Giuliani coming in as “Trump’s attorney” for the Russia collusion investigation is actually a ruse. It’s highly probable that Giuliani was called in to be interviewed by Mueller because Giuliani is a subject, or even a target, in the investigation. Giuliani crafted this cover so the media and public wouldn’t know that he’s a subject / or target in the investigation.

We should learn more in a few days since Giuliani wants the Mueller investigation closed and put his reputation on the line by claiming he could make this happen in a “week or two.” As top Russian collusion surrogate, Giuliani’s interview with mueller indicates Mueller’s reached the top of the collusion food chain and he may actually be able to wind things up shortly.

More indictments soon, it seems.

CODE RED, Firing House Chaplain | Perspective

perspective

Speaker Ryan’s firing of House Chaplain Father Pat Conroy on April 16, 2018 is a very big deal… perhaps the biggest deal since Comey’s firing nearly a year ago.

In Comey’s new book, he warns of the catastrophic damage to our American culture by unethical decision making. He writes that “values – like truth, integrity, and respect for others, to name just a few – serve as external reference points for ethical leaders to make decisions…”

Using this lens to view Speaker Ryan’s unlawful termination of the House Chaplain, knowing that it’s yet another stark example of the Trump team’s assault on our American principles of diversity, freedom of religion, tolerance, and many similar… it’s imperative that we not allow this wrong to go unaddressed.

Can Speaker Ryan lawfully blindside the House Chaplain and terminate without cause, or worse… as a political vendetta? No, he actually cannot. It appears that this Mafia-style counter tactic of Ryan’s, used to intimidate and coerce others to fall in line with the Boss’s agenda – or else – is what has taken place here.

Again, Comey’s book contains everything we need to construct the proper view of all these extreme circumstances, and hopefully move quickly to craft a counter strategy. Firing the House Chaplain is a cognitive dissonance moment. CODE RED. It’s therefor imperative that we block the corrosive effect this unethical corruption fosters, by reinstating Father Pat Conroy as House Chaplain, and demanding disciplinary action be taken against Ryan.

According to multiple news outlets, the House Chaplain said a prayer back in November 2017, during the height of the Tax Bill being debated on Capitol Hill, asking lawmakers to “be mindful that the institutions and structures of our great nation guarantee the opportunities that have allowed some to achieve great success, while others continue to struggle…” and thus Congress should “…guarantee that there are not winners and losers under new tax laws, but benefits balanced and shared by all Americans.

Further, since day 1, Trump’s anti-American discriminatory agenda has alarmed the majority of us, making it entirely possible that Trump team’s mission is to do just that… add Father Pat Conroy’s religion to the growing Trump Discriminatory Hit List:

  • Muslims
  • Mexicans
  • Blacks
  • Women
  • Catholics

We can’t be numb to such injustice. It’s destroying the noble core of our American identity.

And I can’t help but wonder if this travesty is about Speaker Ryan’s guilty conscience every time he says the Act of Contrition: “My God, I am sorry for my sins with all my heart. In choosing to do wrong and failing to do good, I have sinned against you whom I should love above all things. I firmly intend, with your help, to do penance, to sin no more, and to avoid whatever leads me to sin. Our Savior Jesus Christ suffered and died for us. In his name, my God, have mercy.”

Speaker Ryan must be held accountable for all of his alarming sins, particularly this one.

Capitalizing on Comey’s Example | Perspective

perspective

“Each celestial body, in fact each and every atom, produces a particular sound on account of its movement, its rhythm or vibration. All these sounds and vibrations form a universal harmony in which each element, while having its own function and character, contributes to the whole.”  ~Pythagoras

Reading Comey’s book, listening to all his interviews, processing his professionalism in the face of so many tough questions – after all, at this point, he’s hated by both Democrats and Republicans in equal measure, but simultaneously loved and admired by millions across the globe – I felt enlightened. These past few days, it appeared that the majority of news outlets wanted Comey to know how annoyed they were with him. And how much they objected to his actions regarding Clinton’s email investigation just before the election, and his creating memos while interacting with the newly sworn in Trump. I was stunned by Michael Barbaro’s seeming disdain of Comey while he interviewed him for “The Daily.” (Barbaro was far more neutral with Scott Pruitt and Steve Bannon.)

Yet, Comey maintained an even strain despite the consistent harsh antagonism. He kept plugging away at his answers… proving through his actions what real leadership looks like. I appreciated this. We need more of it. (After watching Session’s Senate Hearing where he couldn’t recall ANYTHING, and Pruitt’s grilling by the Senate EPW Committee where he couldn’t remember anything either… how refreshing that an American leader answered every single question in a public setting. Actually, it was stunning.)

It seems that this type of “step up to the plate without being asked” is the highly beneficial lemonade of Trump’s presidency. It’s the best example of what we all need to do in our own way, in our local communities, professional communities, and any other organization we’re involved with.

“Lead, follow, or get out of the way.” ~ General Patton

Thousands and thousands of Americans are jumping in from the sidelines to lead. Hundreds of Republican leaders, who’ve alarmed the world by posing as huge barriers these past fourteen months, are now finally getting out of the way.  (Thank you! Yes, please keep resigning and retiring.) And millions are now awake, eyes open, looking for leaders to guide the way out of all this darkness.

Comey is an anomaly. Maybe that’s the true sign of a truly independent leader. What I admire the most about Comey today, Friday April 20, 2018, is that he’s very gifted, actually skilled, highly experienced at responding to stringent questions without being ruffled. He also walks the talk. I’m grateful for his expertise and his willingness to place himself under an adversary’s microscope in public and walk away without looking back. This is what I believe our founding father’s did in the late 1700’s. They spoke and wrote from the heart. It created massive convulsions in the colonies… which transformed a rough and tumble “experiment” into the bold and mighty United States of America.

Fired FBI Director James Comey has unleashed the American Spirit that has been held captive ever since Trump was elected. His book and his intrepid statements are the path forward.

Look at our American high school students. They make “step up to the plate without being asked” look so easy. They’re impassioned by strong convictions about what threatens their pursuit of happiness. They too are great examples for the country.

Nineteen years ago today, at Columbine High School in Columbine, Colorado, two male students massacred peers and teachers for 49 minutes – killing 13 students, 1 teacher and injuring 23 others – before putting bullets through their own heads. This was the first school massacre in modern U.S. history.

Today 170,000 students walked out of class in protest of gun violence in American schools, and in memory of the those slaughtered and injured in Columbine in 1999. These amazing students won’t stop until common sense gun laws are passed. People who truly care about others are what makes change possible. These students truly care about each other.

I couldn’t help but note the irony of Comey’s book dedication: “To my former colleagues, the career people of the Department of Justice and the FBI, whose lasting commitment to truth keeps our country great.” ~ James Comey, A Higher Loyalty

Tillerson & the Kremlin, It all Makes Sense Now | Perspective

perspective

Learning the critical missing piece of the State Department puzzle – the State Department under Rex Tillerson, that is – everything finally fell into place. Up until today, Mach 6, 2018, nothing made sense.

It reminds me of the famous Shel Silverstein quote: “It was missing a piece. And it was not happy. So it set off in search of its missing piece. And as it rolled it sang this song:

‘Oh I’m lookin’ for my missin’ piece,
I’m lookin’ for my missin’ piece,
Hi-dee-ho,
Here I go,
Lookin’ for my missin’ piece.”

We’ve all been worried for months about the strange, illogical breach of protocol at the State Department under Tillerson.

  • 32 Countries without U.S. ambassadors
  • high pay grade Foreign Service Officers being tasked to do low level data entry
  • 8% cut in State Department while global conflict is reaching a modern era all-time high
  • slashing the number of special envoys by 50%
  • refusal to use any of the $120 million slated for the State Department to curb Russian interference

This frightening list continues to an alarming degree, leaving us with a dark sense of foreboding that has raged now for many months. The nagging feeling that Tillerson is undermining the United States abroad and that one day soon lives will be lost because of the obvious lack of protection. So why is all this happening?

“Why?”

Suddenly…yesterday…Voila!

Finally!

Jane Mayer of the New Yorker, in a stunning article published Monday March 5, 2018, revealed that the Kremlin intervened to stop Trump’s initial choice for Secretary of State, Mitt Romney (strong anti-Russia candidate), and encouraged a pick that would be more sympathetic toward Russian interests.

Reading this stunning statement, everything made sense. The proverbial missing piece. (There’s nothing that will make me not believe this to be fact. Tillerson has been “showing” this in everything he says and does since the very beginning.)

So now? Tillerson clearly needs to be removed. And the State department restored to it’s former glory. Oh, and the $120 million earmarked for blocking Russian interference… put to immediate good use.

Again, immediately. Lives are at stake.
